20 Best Motivational Quotes

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored!

If you really just clear your mind, and actually THINK about what would make you the happiest person in the world if you were to doing this.. then why don’t you? I feel like today we are all so caught up in this whole “9-5” life that everybody hates, but still does…? In my 100% honest opinion, I strongly believe that you should just do what makes you happy. Do you like your current job and have been wanting to quit forever? Quit. Do you always complain that you want that really skinny waste and nice booty? Then go to the gym. Do you hang around with people who bring you down and never feel important? Find new friends! Guys, what I am trying to say is that if you are not happy in life but know if you were doing something else (or someone else) you would be way happier, then DO IT?! Life is way to short to not fulfil your own happiness because you are trying to make somebody else happy. Don’t buy things that you don’t need, with money that you don’t have, to impress people you don’t like! Eliminate all of the negativity in your life, and start focusing on what makes YOU happy, and then in my opinion you will be happiest. You can be living the best life in the world in other people’s eyes, but if YOU are not happy, who are you really fooling?

With all of that aside, take a look at my 20 favorites quotes of all time that I have always reflected back to in those times when I needed motivation the most!

“Every single day you get better or you get worse. You NEVER stay the same.”

“Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.”

“Don’t give up. The beginning is always the hardest. Life rewards those who work hard at it.”

“Surround yourself with those on the same mission as you”

“I work very hard, and I play very hard. I’m grateful for life. And I live it – I believe life loves the lover of it. I live it.”

“Leadership is more than just being able to cross the t’s and dot the i’s. It’s about character and integrity and work ethic.”

“The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!”

“Every time you stay out late; every time you sleep in; every time you miss a workout; every time you don’t give 100% – You make it that much easier for me to beat you.”

“Greatness is sifted through the grind, therefore don’t despise the hard work now for surely it will be worth it in the end.”

“If your dream is a big dream, and if you want your life to work on the high level that you say you do, there’s no way around doing the work it takes to get you there.”

“Work hard and be patient. The rest will follow.”

“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”

“If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you’ll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren’t so lazy.”

“Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action. ”

“Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else.”

“I am focused on the work. I am constantly creating. I am a busy girl. I live and breathe my work. I love what I do. I believe in the message. There’s no stopping. I didn’t create the fame, the fame created me.”

“If you say that getting the money is the most important thing, you’ll spend your life completely wasting your time. You’ll be doing things you don’t like doing in order to go on living, that is to go on doing thing you don’t like doing, which is stupid.”

“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.”

“If you work just for money, you’ll never make it, but if you love what you’re doing, success will be yours.”

” Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly”

Thank you!

If you made it down this far on my post, then I am really hoping these quotes gave you that little bit of extra motivation you may have been needing lately! We are all human, it is okay to not be okay sometimes! I lived the first 20 years of my life always comparing myself to others, always putting myself down because I was not as successful as some, and falling into depression because of all of it. If I can only help my readers with ONE thing, I really want to tell you guys that if you are not happy, CHANGE SOMETHING!

I always grew up hearing “change is bad” or people always saying “YOU CHANGED?!”  It honestly wasn’t until about 7-8 months ago (start of 2018) that I started to change my thinking and the way I view the world. I was always so stubborn, I only did what I thought was “cool”, and I cared wayyyyy too much about what people thought of me. I finally promised to MYSELF that I will change my way of thinking and be more open to everything, but most importantly make MYSELF happy.

LET ME TELL YOU, IT WORKS. I started viewing the glass as half full of water, rather than half empty. I’ve learned if you are constantly looking to find that one thing or that perfect person that is going to magically make you the happiest person in the world, I promise you’ll never find it (in my experience/opinion). I became my happiest when I started living each day as a journey, rather than a small piece of a journey. Now, every task I do throughout the day, I considering them small pieces of a larger journey (That day!). When I started to think like this, it opened my mind to all new possibilities. I used to complain every day, I would wake up saying “UGHH, I have to do this…”  or  “BLAH I have to go do….”

Replace “I have to”   with  “I get to”  and watch how much happier and more appreciative you are of your life. The next time you catch yourself thinking “omg I have to go do this/that, it’s so annoying” take a moment to think about something. Most people in this world would KILL to wake up every morning and go to work because they have no job. Most people in this world would KILL to wake up every morning and have clean water to brush their teeth (or even a toothbrush). Most people in this world would KILL to wait 30 minutes at a restaurant for a burger, instead of hunting the animal themselves because they have no other way.

…If that did not make any sense, what I am trying to get at is stop looking at what you don’t have, and start being appreciative of what you do have! You woke up this morning, YOU’RE BLESSED! In order to be happy, you must do what makes you happy at that exact moment. If you think driving in a fancy car and having a big house will be the only way you’re happy, I honestly do not believe that will ever make you happy. The hours you spend working that 9-5 job, the stress you put on you and your family because you complain about going to work everyday that you hate it, and the amount of relationships you will miss out on by only focusing on things in your future, will outweigh the 1% satisfaction of when you finally have that car and house?! You are not living your life if you are always trying to be in a place that you are not. You can’t change the past, you definitely can not predict the future, so why are your worrying so much about them? Worry about THAT DAY, worry about what is going to make you happy TODAY, and that will carry over everyday. Once you start enjoying each day, rather than each year, then you slowly begin to notice all of the beautiful aspects of life that you have been missing! Happiness is the best drug of them all.

  1. This hit some emotions right on the spot. Many of us that still work a 9-5, especially me, are fearful of leaving it to do something that I truly enjoy because of other responsibilities. I plan to take the leap much sooner than later. Thank you for posting. Oh I will refer back to the quotes often!

    • YES. stop living in your fears! If you think about it, I bet they really aren’t YOUR fears. they are fears of what OTHER people will think? In my opinion, do what makes YOU happy, not what you think will make your friends/family happy. The main way to make other people happy, is to show them you can be happy by being yourslef 🙂
